John Moynihan, Owner and CEO, Keeper GoalsAs a teenager John worked for his parents, Jim and Laura Moynihan, at Keeper Goals.  He has fond memories of sweeping the floor in the shop, delivering soccer goals and installing basketball poles. He graduated from Marquette University High School in 1987 and from St. John’s University, (Minnesota) in 1991.  He immediately went to work for Northwestern Mutual until 1993 when returned back to work at Keeper Goals.  He eventually took over the company when his father retired.

He has overseen the growth of Keeper Goals from a soccer goal manufacturer to a company whose product line includes goals and nets for almost every sport as well as athletic facility equipment for stadiums, parks and indoor sports facilities.

The athletic facility equipment products include bleachers, benches, back-up netting, dugouts and team shelters,  windscreen, batting and golf cages, and more.  Keeper Goals now sells equipment to schools, parks and sports clubs across the United States and Canada.

John currently resides in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin with his wife and family. He coaches his youngest son’s U10 soccer team. He began with the team when they were U6.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club.

U8 Tosa Kicks with John Moynihan and Jim Moynihan labeled.No stranger to the sport of soccer he began playing for the Tosa Kicks of the Milwaukee Kickers soccer club at age 6.  The Tosa Kicks won their first state championship that year.

John’s Tosa Kicks team, coached by his father Jim Moynihan, founder of Keeper Goals, won many more Wisconsin state championships over the years. John played forward for Marquette University High School helping them to 2 state championships.  He captained his college team at St. John’s University in Minnesota where they reached the NCAA DIII Championship Tournament in both his junior and senior seasons.

After college John returned to Marquette University High School as a coach.  He coached the JV team for 10 years and helped with the varsity for 18 years, helping them win 15 state championships.  He coached with the Wisconsin ODP program and the UW-Milwaukee women’s team.
