Back-up Netting, Back-up Posts and Custom Cages For Over 20 Years
Properly engineered and installed back-up posts and cages, which take into account wind load, are essential for any back-up system. Keeper Goals will design the best post, cabling system and best net for your situation.
What's Special About Keeper Goals Back-up and Barrier Net Systems?
- Two independent structural engineers created programs for us that determine the thickness, diameter, and bury depth of the posts as well as the post spacing based on height and width.
- Most companies rely on guesswork regarding the engineering of posts. They often specify materials that will not meet wind loads in most of the areas we work in.
- Once we have the necessary data we will design the most cost effective solution for our client’s needs. We have a number of net material options that we recommend based on budget.
- We are constantly customizing options to meet client’s plans.
- We offer schedule 40 steel, .120 gauge aluminum, and .226 wall aluminum as standard options for certain heights of systems. Other materials are available. Most companies have limited materials they offer.
In order to receive a quote please provide:
- Desired height of pole above ground.
- Height of net above ground.
- Distance between poles.
- What is the size of the smallest ball or object you are trying to stop?
Others things to consider:
- Do you want a pulley system to raise or lower net?
- Do you prefer cables or winch to minimize sag?
- What are the soil conditions?
- Is the net hanging above a fence? If so how high is the fence?
- Do you want restraints on outside post? This will decrease bury depth.
- Is there a ceiling on the net or cage?

#NP12 – 2" OD x 12' steel back-up pole (2' bury depth).
#BNPA-20 – 1 ea 4" OD aluminum post with cleat and pulley – unpainted 20' above ground post.
#BNP-A-2060C – 4 ea 4" OD aluminum post with cleat & pulley – unpainted – back-up pole with 20'h x 60'w 4" mesh net.
For budget-conscious facility – Warning: not reliable for all wind conditions.
#BNPS4-20 – 4 1/2"OD x 24' pulley top – painted black – back-up pole (4' bury depth).
#BNPS4-2060C – 4 ea 4 1/2"OD x 24' pulley top – painted black – back-up pole with 20'h x 60'w 4" mesh net.

Court or Field Divider Netting
Protective, divider and boundary netting is used to protect players and spectators.
Properly designed and installed netting will increase the speed of play and make the playing area safer. Custom netting is available in knotted and knotless nylon with a variety of weights and mesh sizes. Rope binding, vinyl binding, grommets, lead line bottom or chain pocket are all optional on any custom netting. Custom designed odd shapes can be made to fit your netting needs. - Do you want treated or white netting?
- Type of binding and grommets spacing?
- How will the net be secured?
Mesh sizes recommended for various sports:
4" mesh – soccer, basketball, volleyball
1 7/8" mesh – baseball, tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball
1 3/16" mesh – hockey, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball
7/8" mesh – golf, hockey, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball
