Stake Options                                                     #KGDB68 Duckbill Anchor           #ACW-28 Anchor Weight

National Safety Standards, (ASTM), Require All Goals Be Staked Down Or Anchored.

Each pair of Keeper Goals #M83 M-Series, #M88W, #MAL, #FAS, #SS64 LS goals comes with a set of heavy-duty 2’ steel stakes (#S100). Other stakes are available. Please ask us if you are interested in other options. Due to different soil conditions it is important to test the stakes to insure that they are secure. Length of stakes and quantity of stakes required may vary depending on soil type. Please contact us with any questions you have regarding what types of stakes you should use.

Popular Anchors and Stakes:

#S100 Rebar Stake (Item D in above picture.)

2' long rebar stake that is driven into ground with sledge hammer, (4 to 5 per goal.)

Advantages: They can be driven into most surfaces by an adult.

Disadvantages: People can remove them if ground is extremely soft.

#S100C Chain Stake (Item E in above picture.)

2' long rebar stake with retainer and chain welded on, (2 per goals). Lock is not included.

Advantages: They can be driven into most ground surfaces by an adult. Goals can always be returned to original location after being moved.

Disadvantages: They are difficult to remove with retainer and the chain is exposed to lawn mowers.

#GAG Auger With Bolt (Item A in above picture.)

11" auger includes bolt and locking unit. 7/16" zinc electroplated steel auger. This can be used on M83 or M88W goals, (2 per goal.) Other models for round goals are available.

Advantages: They are strong.

Disadvantages: People need tools to remove them. They are not easy to install in rocky or hard ground.

#GAG2C 2' Auger With Chain (Not Pictured.)

2' Auger with chain welded on to wrap around goal.

Advantages: They work well in soft soil and high-wind conditions.

Disadvantages: They are not always easy to place in the ground.

#SJ14 J Stake (Item B in above picture.)

3/8" diameter 14" steel J shaped anchor. They are recommended for small sided goals but can be used on most goals.

Advantages: They can be used on most goals.

Disadvantages: They are simple to remove from the ground.

#SJI4W J Stake With Retainer (Item C in above picture.)

3/8" diameter 14" steel J shaped anchor with retainer. They are recommended for small sided goals but can be used on most goals.

Advantages: They can be used on most goals.

Disadvantages: They are fairly easy to remove from the ground.

#SUG Underground Anchor (Not pictured.)

The anchor is buried into the ground and the goal is bolted to the anchor through stakeholders..

Advantages: They are strong. People need tools to remove them.

Disadvantages: They are not easy to install in any ground.

#KGDB68 Duckbill (See above picture of duckbill anchor.)

Duckbill device has an 1100lbs. rating with 3' cable attached to duckbill and 2' chain (lock not included). Simply drive duckbill into ground with driver (#KGDB68S) and hammer. Wrap chain around goal and lock.

Advantages: Duckbill allows you to move goals back to same location after practice. It is a perfect anchoring system that is easy to use.

Disadvantages: Duckbill anchor itself cannot be removed easily.

#KGDB-COV Optional Plastic Cap (Not pictured.)

This insert with cap installs into the ground. This provides a place to store the chain while goals are being moved. This helps insure lawn mowers do not run over anchors and allows goal to be moved back to the same location and secured after each use.

#ACW-28 Anchor Weight (See above picture of anchor weight.)

Keeper Goals Anchor Weights are specially designed to fit in the stake pocket of our goals. Each anchor weight weighs 28 lbs.
